The Hayward Perflex extended-cycle DE filter delivers crystal-clear water at an economical price, using diatomaceous earth, the most effective filter media available, to remove even the smallest particles on the first pass. Its patented Flex-Tube design reuses the DE and dirt mixture to continuously form fresh cleaning surfaces, giving extended filter cycles with no backwashing required. An exclusive bump handle activates the Flex-Tubes so they instantly purge themselves of dirt and powder, and a combination diffuser and lower mixing chamber produces a uniform DE coating on the tubes. The system is also designed to expel any trapped air back through the filtered water returning to the pool, and an easy-access clamp assembly makes service simple. Suitable for both above-ground and in-ground pools.
