High-impact grid elements are designed for up-flow filtration and top-down backwashing for maximum efficiency, while integral lift handles and a uniform low-profile base make removing the grid nest fast and simple. An inlet diffuser elbow distributes unfiltered water evenly across all elements for even DE distribution, and 2-inch full-flow internal piping keeps flow resistance low. A quick quarter-turn air relief valve bleeds air fast.
